The International Prize Jury

The Prize Jury selects the laureate, or laureates, for the annual Volvo Environment Prize. The jury gives its recommendation to the Foundation Board for the final decision.

Sybille van den Hove is Executive Director of Bridging for Sustainability, a small research and consulting company in Belgium.

Professor Kazuhiko Takeuchi

Kazuhiko Takeuchi is President of the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and a Project Professor at the Institute for Future Initiatives (IFI), the University of Tokyo.

Professor Mary Scholes

Mary Scholes, a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, is currently a full professor in the School of Animal, Plant and Environmental Sciences and serves as the Director of the Graduate Support Division at Wits.

Professor Peijun Shi

Peijun Shi is Executive Vice-President of Beijing Normal University. He was awarded his PhD in palaeogeography at Beijing Normal University and gained postdoctoral experience at the College of Natural Resources at the University of California in Berkeley, USA.
